points are deducted on the following basis:

1 point for each day late (any assignment received after 11:59 pm on the due date is considered late)
1 or more points based on incorrect code (e.g. calculated BMI is wrong)
on assignment 1, points were deducted for not calculating winnings correctly, not checking if numbers (bets and die rolls) were in the correct range, and not exiting on a bet of $0.
on assignment 2, points were deducted for not properly defining/using removeJunk(), stringToWords(), and removeUnwantedWords(). A lot of people did not follow the directions, and so did not receive full credit.
