· Prospective Fellows ·

Thank you for your interest in the Vision and Learning in Humans and Machines IGERT program at UCSD.

This IGERT program is no longer receiving new NSF funds, but the bootcamp experience will continue. To participate in this year's bootcamp please contact bwalton@cogsci.ucsd.edu immediately. This year's bootcamp will run Sept 15-19, 2008.

Women, underrepresented minorities, and students from disadvantaged backgrounds (who are eligible for a San Diego Fellowship) are encouraged to apply for our IGERT matching fellowships -- 15K/year for 1 or 2 years. Please contact bwalton@cogsci.ucsd.edu and desa@cogsci.ucsd.edu immediately (the sooner the better and preferably by Sept 8,2008) if you are interested in applying for one of these. Our IGERT program encompasses four distinct areas: human vision, human learning, machine vision, machine learning. IGERT affiliates should pursue Ph.D. research that touches on at least two of these areas. Students attending this year's bootcamp or past bootcamps will receive priority consideration.
