About UXSD and the UCSD's Inaugural Design Competition

UXSD is the undergraduate design movement at UCSD. This quarter, our student organization hosted UCSD's first campus-wide Design Competition. We assembled interdisciplinary teams of students from various academic backgrounds in order to tackle problems they were experiencing at UCSD through Design Thinking

Check out the wonderful video that Triton TV filmed of our Design Kickoff event, where we taught students the fundamentals of the design process. We had a huge attendance of over 70 students, and many creative ideas for how to improve our campus were born. You can find this video and more information about the Design Competition on our website. Our picture gallery includes photos from the Design Kickoff, some workshops, and our on-site Master Class on Prototyping (taught by alumna Nastasha Tan - Interaction Designer at IDEO).
