More than ever a central theme of cognitive science, the study
of mappings, projections, and integrations was the topic
of a series of talks at UCSD in the Winter of 1998.
Leading researchers presented their latest models, experiments,
and controversies. The speakers were Keith Holyoak, Ray
Gibbs, Seana Coulson, Srini Narayanan, George Lakoff, Arthur Markman, Douglas Hofstadter,
Edwin Hutchins, and Gilles Fauconnier.
