I was a postdoc researcher at UCSD from 2012 to 2015, studying the inter-related cognitive functions of sensory processing, learning, and decision-making, using a combination of experimental and modeling methods.

As a postdoc with Angela Yu, I worked on computational models of goal-directed, active learning and decision making under uncertainty. We used the Bandit paradigm, whereby the decision maker needs to negotiate the exploration-exploitation trade-off --- representative of many real-world decision tasks.

I use theoretical tools such as probability theory, Bayesian statistics, decision theory, stochastic control, and information theory; behavioral experiments, as well as imaging data from our collaborating labs.
