designatucsd-logo.pngDesign at UCSD is a student-run community of designers focused on UX design, research, and design thinking, but we've also got an appreciation for all design fields and related disciplines. Our mission is “to establish an open community of aspiring designers, to inspire creative confidence, and to ease students into industry”.

Design for America (DFA)

dfa-logo.pngDesign for America is a student organization dedicated to using human-centered design for local social innovation. Students work in interdisciplinary project teams focused on designing a solution for a specific problem within a broader social issue. Members of DFA go out into the community to interview potential users and stakeholders, have energetic brainstorm sessions, prototype to bring ideas to life, gain more empathy for others, and feel more connected to their local community.
